How to Build in Fling This and That
Plots, furniture, thrusters, and contraptions that survive public chaos.
Building is the feature Brickified leaned into when Horomori’s original slowed down. Fling This and That still lets you yeet a sofa, but the island is also a toybox for houses, pools, glass cubes, pirate forts, and working rockets. This page is the plot-and-contraption guide. Combat players can skim to the grab-safety section and leave.
Why plots exist
Building plots are bordered sandbox lots. Inside the border:
- Other players cannot grab, fling, or hold you.
- Owners and co-owners spawn furniture from the Item Builder and from Your Toys.
- Saves keep a layout across sessions if you own extra slots.
That is the only reliable “safe AFK” in a 30-player physics game. If you are tired of the fling meta, walk into a plot and request access.

If you get stuck as requester, hop plots. Empty lots are better than arguing in chat. Infinite House Time style passes from the original (if they transferred) keep you on the member list after you wander off — check gamepasses before you buy a duplicate.
Item Builder and toys
The Item Builder spawns a curated furniture/food/prop list. Your Toys spawns the catalog you unlocked with coins. There are 236+ non-admin toys in the shop; you will not place them all in one evening. Buy with purpose using the toys tier list and the coin planner.
Raised Toys Limit (original: 100 → 200) does not always apply inside plots the same way it does in your personal toy box. Read the pass description in Roblox before you assume a plot can hold 200 moving parts. Too many unanchored pieces will lag the shard and make controls feel drunk for everyone, including you.
Contraptions that actually move
The embedded video is a real FTAT rocket tutorial. The pattern is the same for boats and fighter-jet builds:
- Spawn the hull or pallet base inside the plot so nobody steals the pieces.
- Attach thrusters / motors. If a click does nothing, despawn and respawn — toys desync, and Discord has already told players that lever-linked thrusters can fail until a patch.
- Seat or stand, then fire. Wright Brothers counts a first pallet or toy flight; more ambitious flights push toward Airborne (badges and how to fly).
- When you want to troll the public island, drag the finished rocket outside the plot border. The moment you cross, grabs are legal again.
Pools, glass cubes, and pirate scaffolds in the official thumbnails are player-scale builds, not cutscenes. Steal the idea, not the exact palette.
Saves, slots, and leaving
More House Saves unlocks extra slots in the original numbering (Slot 2 / Slot 3). If those passes transferred, you can keep a PvP arena and a chill house. If they did not, treat the lot as temporary and screenshot your favorite corners.
Leave through the border on purpose. Lingering just outside with a missile battery is how plot kids become spawn campers. The map has better nuke sites than a doorway.
Coins for builders
You still need the incinerator. Plots do not print currency. Run a quiet-server farm, buy a furniture set, return. Do not AFK in a plot waiting for codes — there are none live.
If your goal is Toy Collector, you are a shopper more than an architect. That badge wants every non-limited toy purchased, which is a long coin sink. Mix farm days with build days or you will burn out on lever pulls.
