Fling This and That Review

What the authorized remake actually adds — and where it still feels like a beta island.

Review

Fling This and That is Brickified Studio’s authorized remake of Horomori’s Fling Things and People. It launched 21 November 2025 on Roblox, holds 30 players per public server, and sits around 9.4 million visits with a like ratio in the high 70s. This review is for people deciding whether to install it, not for people who already main the incinerator. If you already play, skip to getting started only if a friend is about to join.

The pitch, without the trailer voice

You grab unanchored toys, furniture, missiles, pallets, and other avatars with a Grab Line, then throw them. You can also build on plots where grabs die, farm coins, and hunt ten badges. The official verbs are fling, fight, build, explore, scavenge. That is accurate. The unofficial verb is “crash on an old phone unless you tick low-quality trees.”

Compared with the original, the island is larger, building tools are the selling point, and you can buy extra reach with coins instead of only Robux. Certain original gamepasses were advertised as transferable. Full split: FTAT vs FTAP.

What is actually good

The sandbox is complete without a pass. A quiet server, a pallet, and the incinerator are enough for an hour that feels like the trailers. Wright Brothers (fly on your first pallet) is the common badge; it also teaches the only movement skill that matters. How to fly.

Coin-bought power is the design win. Jef’s Jumble selling +1 grab studs (reported 1,000 coins each, max 10) means a farmer can catch a passer who never opened the Robux prompt. The 250 Robux Extended Grab Reach pass unlocks 30 studs and does not stack with that row. Rank both on the gamepass tier list and the coin planner.

Plots save the game from being a 30-person melee. Owner / Co-Owner / Member / Requester, saves, Item Builder. When public shards are a tornado, you can still place a couch. How to build.

The toy catalog is the long game. 250+ shop toys, Toy Collector at ~0.1% win rate. You will not finish it this week. That is fine. Rank families on the toys tier list.

What is actually annoying

Mobile. Grab and drop are delayed. Memory climbs past ~1.4 GB on weak devices and the join crashes. The real fix is settings → puzzle-piece → low-quality trees / no textures, not a new phone case. Controls.

No codes. There is no live redeem list as of September 2026. Blogs that paste FLING and FREECOINS are mixing this place with Untitled Fling Game or inventing rows. We keep an empty codes hub on purpose.

Shared printers. The incinerator is the coin machine. Packed public servers mean you wait on other people’s levers and lose bags. Private shards have flipped between one and three incinerators across patches. Farm advice: how to get money.

Bugs are part of the box art. Thruster buttons ignore clicks until you despawn. Drop can feel like a one-second delay. Brickified still says report in-game. The changelog is a dated list, not a promise the island is frozen.

Combat is swingy. Farther Reach looks like skill until you understand throw versus drop. A well-aimed chair still beats a rainbow line. Practice: how to fling.

Who should play

Play if you liked FTAP, want more building, and can tolerate a physics game that is still receiving updates (Roblox updated timestamp into September 2026). Play with friends on a private server if you want the nuke toy. Play on PC if you can; mobile is possible, not pleasant.

Skip if you need a quest log, a ranked ladder, or a weekly code. Skip if your phone already thermal-throttles on Roblox hub. Skip if you wanted Horomori’s original slot-machine island — that place still exists separately.

Verdict

FTAT is the better “first hour” of the two fling sandboxes for anyone who refuses to pay Robux for reach, and the better building toybox for anyone who actually uses plots. It is not a live-ops tycoon. It is not finished in the Steam-patch-notes sense. It is a 30-player physics argument with a shop. If that sentence sounds fun, install it, turn down trees, and farm one incinerator pull before you 1v1. If it sounds like work, watch the official trailer on the homepage and stay on the original.
